Sabu Cyril designs Steam Engine for Rajinikanth

For the pre-independence scenes in 'Linga', in which the Superstar Rajinikanth plays a Collector, the team required a train run by steam engine.

"The team members searched in many places and enquired Railway officials for real steam engine. However, their attempts did not bear fruits," sources say.

Following this, art director Sabu Cyril jumped into action and recreated a steam engine with compartments and tracks at the Hyderabad studio, where the film is being shot currently.

"From Rajini to director K S Ravikumar to producer Rockline Venkatesh, everyone was stunned by the steam engine set and they lauded Sabu Cyril a lot," sources add.
